MTB rides take place on a Saturday morning throughout the year. We are a very friendly and social bunch that all love riding our bikes, so come join us.

Local rides
Led mountain bike rides happen every Saturday morning throughout the year.​
So that you can join the rides that are right for you, the distance and technicality of the rides categorised using the following categories:
​
Blue
Suitable for intermediate cyclist/mountain bikers with basic off-road riding skills.
Trail surface may be loose uneven or muddy at times and include small obstacles of roots and rock. Most gradients are moderate but may include short steep sections. Includes small Technical Trail Features. A good standard of fitness can help.

Red
Suitable only for experienced mountain bikers riding mountain bikes.
The length of these rides varies they will include a wide range of climbs and descents of a challenging nature. Expect berms, large rocks, medium steps, drop-offs, cambers, jumps, chutes, large stones, and tree roots.
XC
A longer (25+miles) ride likely to involve plenty of climbing but sticking to blue style trails.

What To Bring

Mountain bike (full suspension or hardtail) suitable for off-road use and in good working order
-
Helmet Compulsory - no lid no ride!

Puncture repair kit - spare tube(s) to suit your wheel/tyres, pump, tyre levers

Suitable clothing for cycling

Gloves - not essential but will protect your hands from the elements and injury in case of a fall

Knee/Elbow pads etc - not compulsory but if you have them, they can be useful

Spare layers depending on the weather conditions

Multi-tool
-
Some food to keep your energy levels up for the duration of the ride

Water or energy drink, again enough for the duration of the ride and weather conditions

Backpack to carry everything in
